Day 9: May 15th
Met Dave Drane this morning and swatted some wares. Gave him maps and be gave me a modded CB radio at cost. What a guy! Glad to have met you Dave.
Raman wasn’t feeling too well. He wanted to see how he went so once I stopped yapping to Dave and he helped us get the CB radios all working with DCS we got going at mid day.
Ready to leave Buchen
Had a close call this morning with Raman. He had stopped to attend to something and told us to go on. I decided to stop and lube our chains a few minutes later, partly to let Raman catch up without rushing. He didn’t see me braking and was moving quicker to catch up. I don’t even know he had caught up. Next thing I know he is thrashing around in the ditch next to me trying to keep the Tenere upright. To his credit he did! Phew…
We lubed our chains and had a break.
We took it very easy to through to MacKillop bridge.
