Bombala to Lochiel

Day 11: May 17th

Arranged to meet up with Hugh and Annie Gravestein this evening.

Went to Venies old place at Wyndham this morning. No one was home. Had a little look around but didn’t feel comfortable to do so too much. A little sad how it has changed but that happens I guess. I will always have my memories though. It really makes me feel that Permacutlure is a state of being rather than a physical creation.

Rode through the Towomba valley down to Eden.

Had a late lunch on cliffs overlooking the ocean in Eden.

Such a different site seeing Mawson at the coast after all the mountain roads.

Did a bit of fishing with some wallaby bait. Watched the fish eating the bait off the huge hook. Will have to get some small hooks.

Headed off for the Gravesteins which is near Lochiel.

Had a fantastic evening with the Gravensteins. A wonderful dinner with veg from their garden and meet from their paddocks. Talked and played cards till late.
