While the adventurers are out of contact anyone can keep track of their route in real time using the Spot Connect website

Most “messages” just give a position but occasionally Oliver will add a short message (and can indicate an accident or other problem)

If you zoom in using the satellite image  rather than the map, you can see the nature of the country they are travelling through and generally see the rough tracks they are following.
